Frequently asked questions

Is the DC 650i English willow?

Yes. The supplier and manufacturer identify Grade 5A English willow for this exact model.

Where is the protective tape?

The published specification identifies fibre tape on the edges, rather than a full-face fibre covering.

Is this an adult or junior bat?

It is adult Short Handle (SH). Contact us before ordering for size advice; no junior variant is included here.

Is there a guaranteed weight or grain count?

No. Natural willow varies. Ask NZ Cricket Store to request individual-stock details before ordering when you have a specific weight or appearance preference.

Do the gallery photos show my exact bat?

They are manufacturer model photographs. Natural timber, grip and graphic details can vary between batches. Current-stock photos can be requested before purchase.

Does the edge tape mean it is ready to play?

No. Follow the manufacturer's preparation guidance and confirm any knocking-in service separately. A protective covering does not replace correct preparation.

Is a padded cover included?

Yes, a padded full-length bat cover is included.

How long will dispatch take?

Refer to the fulfilment and delivery estimates shown on this page. An additional preparation service may extend the dispatch time.

How do I get after-sales support?

Contact NZ Cricket Store with your order details and photos of the issue. The store's shipping and returns information explains the applicable process.

Care and common questions

How should I care for this product?

Follow the bat manufacturer’s oiling, knocking-in and storage instructions. Introduce natural-willow bats gradually to hard-ball use; a workshop service does not guarantee immediate match readiness. Avoid excessive oil, damp storage and direct heat. Check face, edges and toe after play.

How do I choose the right size?

Choose pickup, not just appearance.
