Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the SD Opener model?

Yes. It is the SF SD Opener, not another SF model with similar graphics.

What willow does it use?

English willow. A numerical grade is not confirmed in the supplier specification used for this listing.

Which size am I ordering?

Adult Short Handle. Junior sizes are not included here.

Does it need knocking-in?

Follow the supplied preparation and knocking-in instructions. Do not assume the bat is ready for match play out of the box.

Can I choose an exact weight?

Is a bat cover included?

Yes, a full-length padded cover with adjustable straps is included.

Are these individual-bat photos?

No. These show the model. Grain, wood colour and minor cosmetic details may vary between bats.

Can I use a leather cricket ball?

This is a hard-ball cricket bat, following appropriate preparation and gradual introduction to use.

When will it arrive?

Check the fulfil-by and delivery estimates on the product page and at checkout. Preparation requests can add time; contact us before ordering for a specific match deadline.

Care and common questions

How should I care for this product?

Follow the bat manufacturer’s oiling, knocking-in and storage instructions. Introduce natural-willow bats gradually to hard-ball use; a workshop service does not guarantee immediate match readiness. Avoid excessive oil, damp storage and direct heat. Check face, edges and toe after play.

How do I choose the right size?

Choose pickup, not just appearance.
