Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Size 5 best suited to?

Size 5 is intended for junior players in the recommended height range who have outgrown smaller bats but are not yet ready for Size 6 or Harrow.

Can it be used with a leather cricket ball?

Yes. This is an English Willow cricket bat intended for hard-ball cricket once correctly prepared.

Does it require knocking-in?

Check the bat on arrival and complete the required oiling, knocking-in and protective preparation before match use.

Will the bat look exactly like the photo?

Sticker design should match the model, but natural willow grain pattern, shade and exact pickup vary between individual bats.

Care and common questions

How should I care for this product?

Follow the bat manufacturer’s oiling, knocking-in and storage instructions. Introduce natural-willow bats gradually to hard-ball use; a workshop service does not guarantee immediate match readiness. Avoid excessive oil, damp storage and direct heat. Check face, edges and toe after play.

How do I choose the right size?

Choose pickup, not just appearance.
